Very nicely said. There are more than a few of us, the lucky ones..that have master gardeners in our ancestry. My paternal grandmother maintained a vegetable garden that fed 9 children during the depression. She also loved flowers and her yard was bounded by fragrant beautiful blossoms thoughout the season. All of my aunts were at least a little bit artistic with flowers, master gardeners, and master cooks each one.

Great story Kim. I too, learned at the hand of my grandparents. My grandfather grew the veggies and my grandmother tended the flowers. It was a beautiful collaboration. In my book, there are no better teachers. :-)

How wonderful to have this master gardener ancestry! I hope to be this person in the lives of any grand children I get to have! gail
