What one thing would I grab in a disaster when my family were safe? This box. Along with current photos, it contains old family photos which can't be replaced and a couple of DVDs archiving my most precious photos.
Aaaahhhh, a subject near and dear to my heart! The storage aisle in any store always makes my heart go pitty pat. Here's some of my storage in my scrap space.
I thought of a lot of things for this week's topic of comfort. I can often be found in my scrap space in sheepskin slippers from LL Bean. I often have sweats or polar fleece on. But not always. The constant is my chair. I love my leather office chair so much I'll often go sit at my scrap table to read. It's that comfortable.
There are a lot of things in my scrap space that are "me." I think one thing that shouts me is my obsession with adhesives. Which is my favorite? What is the application, I'll ask. I have a favorite for each application. I have so many adhesives that it takes 3 baskets and a drawer to contain them all. And I use ALL of them. Another thing I can't do without is a Tri-Grip pencil. It doesn't have to be purple, like the one here, but it has to be Tri-Grip. I have them all over the house, and it's the only pencil I'll write with. I'll go looking for one if I have to write something down. The other thing that I must have in my scrap space is a Bath and Body Works Sandalwood and Rose candle. I don't have to light it, because even unlit it perfumes the whole space. I love the calming scent. So give me my pencil and some adhesive and the relaxing scent, and I'm ready to go to work.
Tools. These are the ones I use most - in my PINK Scrap Daddy caddy. It sits right there on my desktop within easy reach.
In this photo, the contrast is between hard (the tools) and soft (the lace and antique hanky).
My cd/radio clock. There's usually some music coming out of it when I'm in my scrap room. And yes, it's sitting on the coolest cigar box.
Again, nothing fancy. I'm not trying to be fancy, I'm just trying to capture things I might overlook unless I really LOOK.
This is the first LO in my Studio Friday journal. I'm not going for fancy here, I'm just trying to make a LO with some journaling with each SF photo I take. I copied Lisa Dixon's ransom lettering technique, and I like the way it came out.
This journal is a 6 x 7 spiral journal, and I hope to capture all my Studio Friday entries.
I do a lot of journaling on the computer, which is NOT in my scrapspace. Still, this is where you will find my hands a lot of the time.
